The pressed steel body and opal polycarbonate diffuser give even light distribution across the full 1.5m length.

Designed as a direct replacement for twin T8 fluorescent battens in commercial and industrial settings, the fitting works in offices, warehouses, workshops, corridors and retail back-of-house areas where both functional lighting and emergency backup are required. What's the difference between maintained, non-maintained and switched modes?

Maintained mode keeps the emergency LEDs on continuously alongside the main lighting. Non-maintained mode only activates the emergency LEDs when mains power fails. Switched-maintained allows the emergency LEDs to be switched on/off manually but they activate automatically on power failure. The mode is selected during installation via internal wiring configuration.

Does it replace twin T8 fluorescent fittings directly?

Yes. The 1525mm length, 9100lm output and mounting centres match standard 5ft twin T8 fluorescent battens. The fitting uses the same ceiling fixings and aperture as a twin 58W T8 installation, making it a straightforward retrofit in commercial refurbishment projects.

What does the 3-hour emergency duration mean?

When mains power fails, the internal battery provides 575 lumens of emergency lighting for a minimum of 3 hours.
