Description

The JCB 4.9W GU10 LED bulb produces 345 lumens at 6500K daylight white, providing bright, high-contrast light suitable for task-focused areas such as kitchens, workshops, home offices and utility rooms. The GU10 twist-and-lock base fits standard mains-voltage spotlight housings without requiring a transformer, making it a direct replacement for 50W halogen GU10 bulbs.

Designed for fixed-output applications where dimming is not required, the bulb draws 4.9W on 230V mains and delivers a 100° beam angle that provides wide coverage from recessed ceiling downlights, track lighting heads and surface-mounted spotlight fittings. The 6500K colour temperature sits at the cool end of the spectrum, offering clarity and visibility for detail work, food preparation, reading technical documents and other tasks where accurate colour rendering and brightness matter.

The bulb measures 50mm in diameter and 57mm in height, matching the form factor of standard GU10 halogens so it fits flush within most downlight housings. At 30g, the bulb generates significantly less heat than the halogen equivalent, reducing the strain on ceiling insulation and fixture housings. The Energy Rating of G reflects the lower efficiency of compact LED formats compared to larger bulb types, but the bulb still uses 90% less energy than the 50W halogen it replaces.

No. This is a non-dimmable LED bulb. Attempting to use it with a dimmer switch will cause flickering or may damage the bulb or the dimmer. If dimming is required, select a bulb marked as dimmable.
