Description

The Halden is a 230mm diameter lead crystal pendant light with a shallow circular polished nickel frame supporting concentric tiers of faceted crystal drops. A single BC (bayonet cap) lamp fitting sits inside the top tier, casting light through the cascading crystal strands which refract and scatter the beam outward. The polished nickel canopy and stem provide a cool metallic contrast to the clarity of the lead crystal.

Designed for spaces with limited ceiling clearance, the Halden's 330mm total drop suits powder rooms, dressing areas, entrance halls and corridor zones where a decorative pendant is needed but a full-height chandelier would be too deep. The compact footprint works over console tables, within alcoves and in bathroom zones outside zones 0-2. The suspension chain allows minor height adjustment during installation to accommodate different ceiling heights and furniture arrangements.

Each crystal drop is individually hung on the nickel frame in tight radial rows, giving the pendant a layered profile that catches daylight and artificial light from multiple angles. The polished nickel finish pairs comfortably with chrome taps, mirrored furniture and brushed steel handles in contemporary bathrooms and dressing rooms. Despite the 230mm diameter, the visual weight of the crystal gives the fitting noticeable presence without dominating small wall-to-wall dimensions.

What ceiling height is needed for the Halden?

The 330mm total drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above. For very low ceilings the chain can be shortened slightly during installation, though the fitting itself cannot be compressed below its 330mm assembled height.

What bulb does it take?

The Halden takes a single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 100W. Most users pair it with a 6-10W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K-3000K to avoid glare through the crystal. The bulb is sold separately.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Halden carries no stated IP rating, so it is suitable only for bathroom zones outside zones 0, 1 and 2 — typically this means at least 600mm away from baths, showers and basins. It works well in powder rooms or over a vanity unit positioned away from direct water contact.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Lead crystal can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal frame or allowing water to drip into the lamp holder. Do not use household glass cleaners or sprays on lead crystal.
