Description
The Halden is a 23cm diameter lead crystal pendant light with a gold-plated canopy and chain, suspending tiered layers of faceted crystal droplets in a shallow domed profile. The pendant houses a single BC (bayonet cap) bulb fitting rated to 100W, with the crystal strands acting as both diffuser and decorative element as light refracts through the cut facets.
Designed for powder rooms, dressing rooms, compact landings, and breakfast nook areas where ceiling height is limited, the 33cm total drop suits rooms with 2.2-2.5m ceilings. The shallow dome profile provides sparkle and decorative presence without the vertical depth of larger chandeliers. The gold finish on the canopy and fixing chain pairs with warm brass door furniture, champagne tap finishes, and antique gold mirror frames in classical and transitional interiors.
Each tier of crystal droplets is individually hung from the gold frame, creating movement and dimensional shimmer when air currents shift the strands. The lead crystal is cut with multiple facets per droplet, which splits ambient and task light into prismatic colour bands across nearby walls. At 2kg, the pendant requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 3kg load, and the BC fitting accepts standard bayonet bulbs including warm-white LED, halogen, or traditional filament options (sold separately).

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Halden take?
The pendant uses a standard BC (bayonet cap, B22) bulb up to 100W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K for best crystal refraction without excessive heat.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 33cm total drop suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above. In a powder room or dressing room the pendant typically hangs in the centre of the space with clearance of 1.9m beneath the lowest crystal tier.
Is the chain length adjustable?
The chain can be shortened during installation by removing links before final wiring. Lengthening beyond the supplied chain requires purchasing additional matching chain separately.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Dust the crystal droplets with a soft dry cloth or feather duster every few weeks. For deeper cleaning, individual droplets can be wiped with a barely-damp microfibre cloth and distilled water, then buffed dry immediately to prevent water spotting.
