Description

The Glacia is a 1200mm rectangular linear canopy in a copper finish, designed to support up to six individual pendant lights on a single ceiling fixing. The metal housing measures 1200mm long by approximately 50mm wide, with a 35mm projection from the ceiling once installed. Six cable exit points are spaced evenly along the length of the canopy, each accepting a standard pendant cable and allowing the lights to be positioned in a line over a kitchen island, dining table or hallway run.

Designed for installation where multiple pendant lights need to be grouped on a single ceiling power point, the canopy replaces the need for six individual ceiling roses. The cable exit points are pre-drilled and the internal wiring runs along the length of the housing, so all six pendants connect to a single mains feed inside the canopy. This keeps ceiling clutter to a minimum and ensures the pendant cables drop in a clean line rather than converging from separate ceiling points.

The copper finish is a warm rose-gold tone that pairs with both warm-toned interiors and cooler greys, and ages naturally over time as the metal oxidises. The rectangular profile sits flush against the ceiling and the slim 35mm depth keeps the canopy discreet when viewed from the side. The metal construction supports the combined weight of six pendants without sagging, provided each individual pendant is within the recommended load limit stated in the installation instructions.

What pendant lights does it work with?

The Glacia accepts any standard pendant light with a flexible cable feed and a lamp holder rated for UK 230V mains. The six cable exit points are drilled to accept typical pendant cable diameters, and the internal wiring connects all six pendants to a single power source.

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

The canopy is designed for flat ceilings. Fitting to a sloped ceiling would require custom mounting brackets and may compromise the even spacing of the pendant cable exit points.

What's the maximum weight it can support?

The metal housing is rated to support six typical decorative pendant lights. Each individual pendant should be within the load limit stated in the Glacia installation instructions. Contact us if you plan to use particularly heavy pendants (e.g. large glass globes, multi-arm chandeliers) and need confirmation of load capacity.

Does the copper finish tarnish?

Copper is a natural metal that oxidises over time, developing a darker patina. This is a feature of the material and not a defect. If you prefer the original rose-gold tone, the canopy can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove surface oxidation, though this will not prevent the metal from aging naturally.
