Description
The Forma V2 is a 12-light chandelier built on a two-tier polished nickel frame with optical glass shades arranged in radial symmetry. The upper tier carries 4 lights, the lower tier 8, each fitted with a faceted glass cylinder that refracts and multiplies the light from a G9 bulb. The central column connecting the two tiers is turned and polished, providing a vertical axis that anchors the circular arrangement of arms.
Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Forma V2 measures 68cm in diameter and requires a minimum of 600mm clearance around the frame for safe passage beneath. The 50cm height from canopy to lowest point is fixed, so the total drop from ceiling to base depends on the chain length chosen during installation. The 13kg weight requires a ceiling rose rated for heavy fittings and secure joist fixing.
The optical glass shades are moulded with internal facets that catch and scatter light at multiple angles, creating a prismatic effect across the ceiling and walls when the chandelier is lit. The polished nickel finish on the frame provides high reflectance without the warmth of brass or the coolness of chrome, sitting between the two and pairing with interiors that use mixed metal finishes. The radial arm layout spreads the 12 G9 bulbs across the 68cm diameter, avoiding the single-point glare of a clustered design.
Each G9 socket accepts bulbs up to 33W, giving a combined maximum of 396W across the 12 fittings. Most installations use LED G9 bulbs between 2W-5W, which provide sufficient light output without the heat load of halogen. The faceted glass shades diffuse direct glare from the bulb while allowing enough contrast to read the prismatic texture of the glass itself.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Forma V2 take?
The chandelier takes 12 x G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 bulbs between 2W-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for a combined output of around 24W-60W across all 12 fittings.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 68cm diameter and 50cm fixed height suit rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above. In a 3m-high room with a 500mm chain, the base of the chandelier sits approximately 2.5m above floor level, providing clearance for passage beneath.
Is the chandelier dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs fitted. LED G9 bulbs vary in dimmer compatibility — check the bulb packaging for 'dimmable' marking and pair with a trailing-edge LED dimmer for best results.
How is the optical glass cleaned?
Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Remove each glass shade by unscrewing from the socket collar. Wash in warm soapy water, rinse, dry with a lint-free cloth, and refit. The faceted internal surface holds dust in the recesses, so monthly cleaning maintains clarity.
