Description

The Flessen is a 3-light solid brass chandelier with three curved arms extending from a central baluster stem, finished in polished brass. Each arm terminates in a candle-style holder fitted with an SES (E14) bulb socket, and the entire frame measures 43cm in both diameter and height, giving a compact spherical footprint when hung.

Designed for entrance halls, small dining rooms, landings and reading nooks where ceiling height or room proportions require a scaled chandelier rather than a multi-arm statement piece, the Flessen provides ambient light across a 2-3m diameter area. The 43cm height includes the central stem and the drop from the ceiling rose to the base of the finial — the chain or rod length is adjustable on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. The three arms radiate symmetrically from the central axis, maintaining classical balance while keeping visual weight low.

The polished brass finish is mirror-bright, reflecting both daylight and artificial light across the room, and the 1.5kg weight of the solid brass construction gives the chandelier a substantive presence despite its compact proportions. Each of the three SES bulb holders accepts candle-shaped bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), allowing the fitting to be paired with filament LED bulbs for period character or clear LED candles for a cleaner modern look. The polished brass pairs comfortably with Georgian, Edwardian and traditional interiors, and also works in transitional spaces where warm metallic accents are needed without the bulk of a 5- or 8-light chandelier.

What bulbs does the Flessen take?

The chandelier uses three SES (E14, small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Candle-shaped LED bulbs in warm white (2700K) are commonly paired with this style of fitting.

Yes. The chandelier is supplied with chain that can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. The 43cm height measurement refers to the fitting itself, excluding the chain drop from the ceiling rose.

How is polished brass maintained?

Polished brass will tarnish naturally over time unless lacquered. If lacquered, wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. If unlacquered, periodic polishing with a brass cleaner will restore the mirror finish. Contact Impex or check the product packaging to confirm lacquer status.
