Description

The Flessen is a two-light solid brass wall light with symmetrical scrollwork arms and a turned backplate, finished in antique brass. Each arm terminates in a candle-style holder taking an SES (E14) bulb up to 60W (sold separately), and the scrollwork features small decorative flourishes at the turn of each curve. The 15cm projection from the wall gives clearance for larger candle-shaped bulbs without the fitting looking cramped against the wall surface.

Designed for hallways, staircases, living rooms and bedrooms in traditional and period interiors, the Flessen suits installation beside mirrors, on either side of a fireplace breast, or in pairs along a hallway at 2-3m spacing. The 29cm width and 23cm height make it proportionate for walls in rooms with standard 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights without overwhelming the space. The twin-light configuration provides ambient rather than task illumination.

The antique brass finish is applied over solid brass castings, giving a warmer, slightly tarnished tone compared to polished brass. This aged appearance pairs well with traditional wallpapers, timber panelling and heritage paint colours without looking too formal or highly polished. The Flessen takes two SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with candle-shaped LED bulbs in warm white (2700K) for a traditional appearance.
