Description

The Evocis is a 152 x 66cm rectangle wall mirror built around a wide grey-painted wood frame with a bevelled mirror glass inset. The frame measures approximately 12cm wide on all sides, giving the mirror a substantial 20kg presence on the wall without the visual weight of dark or ornate detailing.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and dining areas, the Evocis mounts in either portrait or landscape orientation depending on the wall space and desired visual effect. In portrait orientation the 152cm height suits full-length checking before leaving the house; in landscape the width can make a narrow hallway feel wider or a low-ceilinged room feel more open. The grey finish on the wood frame sits between warm taupe-grey and cooler charcoal-grey, making it compatible with both warm-toned interiors and cooler monochrome schemes.

The wood frame construction gives the mirror durability over MDF alternatives, and the 3cm depth means the frame projects noticeably from the wall rather than sitting flush. The bevelled edge on the mirror glass adds a subtle detail around the central reflective surface. At 20kg the mirror requires two D-rings or French cleats fixed into wall studs or solid masonry — plasterboard fixings alone will not support the weight safely.

Frequently Asked

Can it be hung both portrait and landscape?

Yes. The mirror can be mounted in either orientation. In portrait the 152cm height provides full-length reflection; in landscape the width suits positioning above a sofa or sideboard to visually widen a space.

What wall fixings are needed?

At 20kg the mirror must be fixed into wall studs or solid masonry using heavy-duty D-rings, French cleats or mirror plates. Standard plasterboard fixings will not support the weight safely. If fixing to plasterboard, locate and fix into the timber studs behind.

How is the grey finish maintained?

Wipe the wood frame with a dry or barely-damp microfibre cloth. Avoid spraying glass cleaner directly onto the mirror near the frame edges, as moisture can penetrate the wood-to-glass join and cause discolouration over time. Spray glass cleaner onto the cloth instead, then wipe the mirror glass.

Does the frame have a texture or is it smooth?

The wood frame has a smooth painted finish with no visible grain texture or distressing. The grey paint provides a flat, even surface around the bevelled mirror glass.
