Description
The Eveready 4.9W LED candle bulb delivers 470 lumens of warm white 3000K light from an E14 small Edison screw base, replacing traditional 40W incandescent candle bulbs at a tenth of the power consumption. Each bulb measures 37mm diameter by 100mm height with the classic candle profile, suitable for open-shade chandeliers, wall sconces and decorative table lamps where the bulb shape is visible. The pack contains six bulbs sold as a 5+1 promotion.
Designed for residential chandelier arms, candelabra fittings and decorative wall lights where multiple bulbs create ambient lighting across dining rooms, hallways and living spaces, the 3000K colour temperature provides a warm tone closer to traditional incandescent than cooler LED alternatives. The E14 base fits UK and European small screw fittings, distinct from the larger E27 Edison screw used in standard table and floor lamps. Operating voltage is 220-240V on standard UK mains.
The bulbs are rated for approximately 10,000 hours of use, equivalent to roughly 10 years at typical household usage patterns of 2-3 hours daily. The non-dimmable circuit means these bulbs must be used on standard on/off switches rather than dimmer controls. Mercury-free construction removes the handling and disposal concerns associated with compact fluorescent bulbs, though the Energy Rating of F reflects that these are entry-level LED efficiency rather than premium A-rated variants.
The six-pack format suits complete chandelier replacements where five or six arms need matching bulbs at the same time, avoiding the tonal mismatch that can occur when mixing bulbs from different production batches. The frosted opal glass diffuses the LED chip array inside, preventing visible hot-spots when the bulb is viewed directly.

Frequently Asked
Are these bulbs dimmable?
No. These are non-dimmable LED bulbs and must be used with standard on/off switches only. Using them with a dimmer switch may cause flickering, buzzing, or premature bulb failure.
What is the difference between E14 and E27?
E14 is a small Edison screw base 14mm in diameter, used in chandeliers, wall sconces and decorative candle fittings. E27 is the larger 27mm Edison screw used in standard table lamps and ceiling pendants. The two are not interchangeable.
How long do these bulbs last?
Rated at approximately 10,000 hours, which translates to around 10 years of use at typical household patterns of 2-3 hours per day. Actual lifespan depends on operating conditions and switching frequency.
What does the 3000K colour temperature mean?
3000K is warm white, producing a yellowish tone similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. This is warmer and more amber than daylight bulbs (4000K-5000K) and suits living spaces, dining rooms and bedrooms where a cosy atmosphere is preferred.
