Description
The Energizer TAC 700 is a 700-lumen LED torch built from aircraft-grade aluminium with an IPX4 weatherproof rating and a 100-metre beam distance. The torch runs on two CR123 batteries (included) and provides four lighting modes via a rear push-button: High (700 lumens, 2-hour runtime), Medium (200 lumens, 8 hours), Low (30 lumens, 35 hours), and Emergency Strobe.
Designed for outdoor use, emergency kits, vehicle storage and work site applications, the TAC 700 withstands 1-metre impact drops and operates in wet conditions up to IPX4 standard (splash-resistant from any angle). The rear button placement allows mode switching without shifting grip, and the removable clip works in either orientation for pocket carry or cap-brim attachment. The strike bezel head adds a secondary safety function in emergency scenarios.
The aluminium body measures 108mm in length with a 52mm head diameter and weighs 180g including batteries, giving it enough heft to feel secure in hand without being cumbersome in a pocket or bag. The knurled grip pattern prevents slippage in wet or gloved hands. The 700-lumen output on High mode gives focused spot illumination to 100 metres, while the Low mode extends battery life for tasks where full brightness is not needed.

Frequently Asked
What batteries does the TAC 700 use?
The torch runs on two CR123 lithium batteries, which are included in the box. Replacement CR123 batteries are available separately from Niori and most battery retailers.
What does IPX4 weatherproof rating mean?
IPX4 means the torch is protected against water splashes from any direction. It can be used in rain and wet conditions but is not submersible — do not immerse it in water.
How long does the battery last on each mode?
High mode (700 lumens) runs for approximately 2 hours, Medium (200 lumens) for 8 hours, and Low (30 lumens) for up to 35 hours on a fresh set of CR123 batteries.
What is the strike bezel used for?
The strike bezel is a serrated edge around the lens head designed to provide grip and break resistance in emergency situations. It can be used to break glass or as a defensive tool if needed.
