Description
The Energizer outdoor LED wall light combines an integrated photocell sensor with a black weatherproof housing rated IP44 for outdoor use. The photocell detects ambient light levels and switches the light on automatically at dusk, then off again at dawn, removing the need for manual switching or timers.
Designed for driveways, porches, garden pathways and building entrances, the light runs on mains power and draws less than 0.5W on standby when the sensor is monitoring light levels but the LED is not active. The adjustable time-on feature allows the light to be set to stay on for a fixed duration after dusk (typically 3, 6 or 9 hours depending on the model setting), so it can be programmed to switch off after a set period rather than remaining on until dawn.
The IP44 rating provides protection against splashing water from any direction and against solid objects larger than 1mm, making the fitting suitable for zones 1, 2 and 3 (covered porches, open patios, walls under eaves) but not zone 0 (direct shower spray or submersion). The black finish is a powder-coated or UV-resistant plastic that resists fading under prolonged sun exposure.

Frequently Asked
How does the photocell sensor work?
The photocell monitors ambient light levels continuously. When natural light falls below a set threshold (typically around dusk), the sensor triggers the LED to switch on. At dawn, when light levels rise again, the LED switches off. This operates automatically without requiring manual input.
What is the adjustable time-on feature?
The adjustable timer allows you to set the light to stay on for a fixed duration after it activates at dusk, rather than running all night until dawn. Common settings are 3, 6 or 9 hours. This saves energy if you only need lighting during early evening hours.
Can this be used in direct rain?
Yes, the IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, so the fitting can be mounted on an exposed wall where it will receive rain. It is not suitable for submersion or direct high-pressure spray (zone 0 applications).
What power consumption does it have?
The standby power consumption when the photocell is monitoring but the LED is off is less than 0.5W. The active LED power draw will depend on the specific LED module installed — refer to the packaging or contact us for the exact wattage and lumen output of this model.
