Description

The Energizer pendant holder is a single E27 (Edison screw) fitting on a 1.2m adjustable cable, with a brushed chrome canopy and lamp holder. The cable length can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, allowing the fitting to hang at the right height above kitchen islands, dining tables or worktops. The lamp holder accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for indoor use in kitchens, dining rooms, utility rooms and hallways, the pendant holder provides a socket for decorative filament bulbs or task-oriented LED bulbs depending on the room's needs. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor environments and Zone 3 bathroom areas (more than 600mm from taps or shower heads). The 100mm diameter ceiling plate covers most standard UK ceiling roses.

The brushed chrome finish on both the canopy and the 50mm diameter lamp holder gives a neutral metallic accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and modern cabinetry. The fitting weighs 240g once cabled, light enough to hang from a standard ceiling rose without additional support. Class 1 earthing provides protection for metal-bodied bulbs and ensures compliance with UK wiring regulations on 220-240V mains.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant holder accepts any standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with either a decorative filament LED bulb for ambient light or a directional LED for task lighting over worktops.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 1.2m cable can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height and the position of the surface below. For dining tables the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface; for kitchen islands 600-900mm above the worktop depending on ceiling height.

Is it dimmable?

The pendant holder itself is not dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb you fit. If you install a dimmable E27 LED bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the light output can be controlled. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim regardless of the switch.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating makes it suitable for Zone 3 bathroom areas only — spaces more than 600mm horizontally from taps, basins, baths or shower heads. It is not rated for use directly above a bath or shower where moisture levels are higher.
