Description

The Energizer flush ceiling light combines a white ABS plastic body with a built-in 360° PIR sensor that activates the light when movement is detected within range. The sensor has adjustable lux settings that allow the light to operate only in low-light conditions or to activate regardless of ambient brightness, plus a manual override for continuous operation. Power consumption sits below 1W when on standby.

Designed for hallways, utility rooms, enclosed porches and internal stairwells, the flush-mounted design sits close to the ceiling without projecting downward. The PIR sensor scans a 360° field beneath the fitting, making it suitable for areas where you approach from multiple directions rather than a single entry point. The IP20 rating restricts use to Zone 3 only (indoor, no direct water contact), so it cannot be used in bathrooms or outdoor locations.

The white ABS plastic body weighs 90g and houses the sensor lens and light source in a single low-profile unit. The lux control dial adjusts the threshold at which the sensor will activate — useful in spaces with variable daylight where you want the light to trigger only after dusk, or in windowless rooms where you need it to activate regardless of time. The manual override bypasses the sensor entirely, allowing continuous operation when needed.

Frequently Asked

What is the PIR detection range?

The sensor provides 360° coverage beneath the fitting. The specific detection radius depends on ceiling height and sensor sensitivity settings, but it typically covers a standard hallway or utility room when ceiling-mounted at 2.4-3m height.

Can the light be set to stay on permanently?

Yes. The manual override function bypasses the PIR sensor and keeps the light on continuously until you switch the override off again. This is useful during maintenance or when you need constant light in a space.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating and Zone 3 restriction mean this fitting is not suitable for bathrooms or any area with direct water exposure. It is designed for dry indoor spaces only.

What does the lux control do?

The lux control adjusts the light level threshold at which the PIR activates. Set low, the sensor only triggers in darkness. Set high, it activates regardless of ambient light. This prevents the light from switching on unnecessarily during daylight hours in spaces with windows.
