Description
The Energizer 30W LED PIR floodlight delivers 2,700 lumens of 6,000K daylight-white illumination through an integrated LED and prismatic diffuser. A passive infrared sensor mounted beneath the floodlight head detects movement up to 8 metres away across a 120-degree horizontal arc, triggering the light to switch on automatically when motion is detected within that zone.
Designed for perimeter security, driveways, rear gardens, commercial loading areas and external building entrances, the floodlight mounts to a wall or soffit via a quick-fix angled bracket. The PIR sensor allows adjustable hold time between 10 seconds and 7 minutes, so the light remains on for a set period after the last detected movement before switching off. This reduces wasted runtime while maintaining security coverage when areas are actively occupied.
The body is constructed from die-cast aluminium with integral heatsinking on the rear face to dissipate heat from the LED array during operation. The IP44 rating protects the electronics against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for external mounting on walls sheltered by eaves or in exposed positions where rain and wind are typical. The black powder-coated finish resists UV degradation and surface corrosion.
The floodlight consumes 30W on mains power and outputs 90 lumens per watt, delivering high-output illumination suited to areas requiring strong task visibility rather than ambient mood lighting. The 6,000K colour temperature sits in the daylight range, producing a crisp, blue-biased white light that enhances colour rendering and depth perception in outdoor conditions.

Frequently Asked
What detection range does the PIR sensor cover?
The PIR sensor detects movement up to 8 metres away across a 120-degree horizontal arc. Detection accuracy depends on the angle of approach and the size of the moving object — lateral movement across the sensor field triggers more reliably than direct approach.
How long does the light stay on after detecting movement?
The hold time is adjustable between 10 seconds and 7 minutes. Once set, the floodlight remains on for that duration after the last detected movement, then switches off automatically. Each new motion detection resets the timer.
Can it be installed in fully exposed outdoor positions?
Yes. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction and solid objects larger than 1mm, making it suitable for external walls, soffit mounting under eaves, or exposed positions subject to rain. It is not suitable for full submersion or high-pressure water jets.
Is the floodlight dimmable?
No. The integrated LED operates at full 2,700 lumen output when triggered by the PIR sensor and cannot be dimmed. The light switches between off and full brightness only.
