Description

The Energizer 1.2m adjustable pendant holder is a gunmetal-finished E27 lampholder suspended on a black fabric-covered cable with a 100mm diameter ceiling rose. The cable length is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang anywhere between 200mm and 1200mm below the ceiling depending on the height of the room and the intended use.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, and hallways where a pendant bulb needs to hang at a specific height, the adjustable cable removes the need for fixed-length pendants or complex suspension systems. The E27 lampholder accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 60W (bulb sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or decorative filament bulbs based on the desired light output and colour temperature. The gunmetal finish on the lampholder and ceiling rose pairs with industrial, contemporary and mid-century interiors.

The pendant holder is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and operates on 220-240V mains. The lampholder itself measures 85mm high by 50mm diameter, with the ceiling rose adding 17mm projection from the ceiling. At 0.24kg the fitting is light enough to hang safely from standard UK ceiling roses without additional structural support. The Class 1 safety classification requires an earth connection during installation.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant holder takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with an LED bulb between 6-10W for ambient lighting or a decorative filament bulb for exposed-bulb styling.

How is the cable length adjusted?

The cable is adjusted during installation by feeding more or less cable through the ceiling rose before fixing the rose to the ceiling. Once installed the length is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-adjusted.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is only suitable for dry indoor use in Zone 3 areas (outside bathroom zones). It cannot be used within 600mm of a bath or shower.

Is it compatible with dimmer switches?

The pendant holder itself is not dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb fitted — if you fit a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the light output can be dimmed. The pendant holder does not restrict this.
