Description

The Emberly is a 17cm Moroccan-style wall light built around a globe-shaped metal lattice frame in satin nickel, with suspended strands of faceted crystal beads inside the openwork shell. The symmetrical cutout pattern across the metal frame allows light from a single BC (B22 bayonet) bulb to filter through, creating shadow patterns on adjacent walls while the crystals reflect and fragment the light internally.

Designed for narrow hallways, powder rooms, landings and alcoves where projection is limited, the Emberly extends just 11.5cm from the wall when fitted. The combination of matt satin nickel metalwork and reflective crystal gives the fitting visual presence without overwhelming small spaces. The lantern-inspired form pairs with eclectic, bohemian and traditional interiors where decorative metalwork and layered textures are features of the scheme.

The frame is constructed from stamped and formed metal with a satin nickel plating that softens reflections and provides a warmer tone than polished chrome or brushed steel. The crystal beads are threaded onto internal wires fixed to the top and bottom of the frame, so they remain in position when the bulb is changed. At 0.70kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard with appropriate wall fixings, though solid masonry gives more secure long-term support.

The Emberly takes a standard BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient hallway lighting.

The fitting extends 11.5cm from the wall when mounted. This shallow projection suits narrow hallways and alcoves where deeper wall lights would obstruct movement or feel intrusive.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard?

At 0.70kg the Emberly is light enough to mount on plasterboard using appropriate cavity fixings rated for the weight. Solid masonry or timber studwork behind the plasterboard provides more secure long-term support.

Is the crystal removable for cleaning?

The crystal beads are threaded onto internal wires fixed to the top and bottom of the metal frame. They are not designed to be removed, but can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth while the fitting is in place. Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning.
