Description

The Emberly is a 230mm globe-shaped pendant light with a satin brass lattice frame and faceted crystal beads arranged in a traditional Moroccan lantern pattern. A single BC (bayonet cap) bulb sits inside the globe, casting light through the geometric openings in the brass frame and refracting through the crystal detailing. The combined metal and crystal shell creates patterned shadows and highlights on surrounding walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for entrance halls, over console tables, or as a cluster above dining tables, the Emberly provides both ambient light and decorative presence. The 390mm overall height including the canopy and chain allows adjustment during installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. The pendant works as a single statement piece or in pairs flanking a doorway or mirror.

The satin brass finish is a mid-tone brushed metal that sits between polished brass and antique brass, providing warmth without high reflectivity. The lattice frame uses fine brass strips to form the spherical cage, with each crystal bead hand-threaded onto the frame during assembly. The 2kg total weight gives the pendant substantial presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings beyond a standard UK ceiling rose. The Emberly accepts any BC bulb up to 60W, allowing choice of LED, halogen or decorative filament styles depending on the room's lighting needs.

What bulb does the Emberly take?

The Emberly uses a BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K for ambient decorative light, or a decorative filament-style LED for visible bulb detail through the lattice.

Can it be used in low-ceiling rooms?

The 390mm total drop from ceiling to base is relatively compact for a Moroccan-style pendant. In rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m the pendant may hang lower than ideal above a console or side table. The chain length can be shortened during installation if needed.

How is the crystal attached to the frame?

Each faceted crystal bead is hand-threaded onto the brass lattice frame during assembly. The crystals are held in place by the frame geometry and do not require individual wire fixing.

Does the satin brass tarnish over time?

Satin brass is a plated finish rather than solid brass. In dry indoor environments the finish remains stable. In high-humidity areas such as bathrooms without extraction the brass may develop a patina over several years, which can be polished if desired.
