Description
The Duceri D2000WH is a 4W LED emergency bulkhead fitting with IP65 ingress protection and a lithium battery backup for maintained operation. The 400mm rectangular white polycarbonate body houses a 4W LED strip behind a prismatic diffuser, providing continuous light in normal operation and switching to battery power during mains failure.
Designed for corridors, stairwells, exit routes and external covered walkways, the bulkhead operates in maintained mode, meaning the LED stays on continuously when mains power is available and transitions to battery backup during power cuts. The IP65 rating protects the internals against dust and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor areas, car parks and industrial interiors where moisture or damp is present.
The flush-mount design sits 85mm proud of the wall or ceiling once installed, with a 400mm x 135mm footprint. The white polycarbonate body and diffuser resist impact and UV yellowing better than acrylic alternatives. The integrated lithium battery provides emergency runtime as specified in the datasheet, and the fitting includes a test button and charge indicator to verify battery condition during periodic safety checks.

Frequently Asked
What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained mode?
Maintained mode means the LED stays on continuously when mains power is available, and switches to battery backup during a power cut. Non-maintained mode keeps the LED off during normal operation and only lights up when mains power fails. This Duceri bulkhead operates in maintained mode.
What is the emergency runtime on battery?
The lithium battery provides emergency runtime as specified in the datasheet linked above. Typical emergency bulkheads of this type provide 3 hours of battery backup, but refer to the datasheet for the exact runtime specification for this model.
Can it be used outdoors?
The IP65 rating protects against dust and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor areas such as canopies, car park ceilings and external corridors. It is not rated for full exposure to rain or submersion.
How is the battery tested?
The bulkhead includes a test button and charge indicator. Press the test button to simulate a mains failure and verify the LED switches to battery power. The charge indicator shows battery condition. Regular testing is required under UK building regulations for emergency lighting installations.
