Description

The Duceri is a 3W LED maintained emergency exit sign with a right-pointing legend, designed for ceiling suspension above exit routes in commercial, industrial and public buildings. The sign contains 16 SMD 2835 LEDs running at 5500K daylight white, delivering 60 lumens on mains power and 44 lumens when running on the internal 3.6V 900mAh Ni-Cd battery during a mains failure. The maintained operation means the sign remains illuminated continuously when connected to mains power, switching automatically to battery mode during power cuts.

The sign hangs from the ceiling on adjustable suspension cables, allowing the legend to be positioned at the optimal viewing height for the specific installation. The drop is adjustable up to 650mm from the ceiling mounting plate to the top of the sign housing. The 190 x 300mm acrylic legend panel provides a 24m viewing distance under emergency lighting conditions, meeting BS EN 60598-2-22 requirements for UK building regulations compliance.

The sign housing is constructed from white polycarbonate with an acrylic front legend panel showing the green running man pictogram and right-pointing arrow. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments including corridors, stairwells, office exits and warehouse walkways. The internal battery provides a minimum 3-hour emergency duration from full charge and includes charge and discharge protection circuitry to prevent over-charging or deep discharge damage.

What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained operation?

Maintained operation means the sign stays lit continuously when connected to mains power, only switching to battery mode during a power failure. Non-maintained signs remain dark under normal mains power and only illuminate when mains power is lost. The Duceri operates in maintained mode.

What is the emergency duration?

The internal 3.6V 900mAh Ni-Cd battery provides a minimum 3-hour emergency duration when fully charged, meeting UK building regulations requirements for most commercial installations. The battery includes charge and discharge protection to maximise lifespan.

How is the sign installed?

The sign hangs from a ceiling-mounted plate on adjustable suspension cables. The drop from the ceiling to the top of the sign housing can be set between 0-650mm depending on the ceiling height and required viewing position.
