Description

The Domo is a 35cm diameter cylindrical ceiling lamp shade wrapped in white textile fabric with a chromed vinyl inner lining and a translucent methacrylate top diffuser. The chrome lining reflects light back through the white fabric, boosting luminosity and creating a soft, diffused glow around the perimeter of the shade.

Designed specifically as a replacement or spare shade for the Schuller Domo 4 Light Semi-Flush ceiling fitting, the shade mounts directly onto the chrome frame arms of that fitting. The methacrylate diffuser at the top spreads light from the bulb inside the shade evenly across the ceiling, reducing glare and preventing harsh shadows. The white fabric finish suits modern bedrooms, hallways and kitchen installations where a clean, neutral aesthetic is needed.

At 15cm height and 0.6kg weight, the shade is lightweight enough for single-person fitting but substantial enough to retain its cylindrical shape under use. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. The white fabric can be dusted with a soft brush or lint roller; the chromed lining inside is not user-accessible for cleaning without removing the shade from the fitting.
