Description

This white polycarbonate diffuser is a direct replacement component for the Knightsbridge 24W BF LED bulkhead. It clips onto the existing bulkhead base to replace a damaged, yellowed or missing original diffuser, restoring the fitting to its designed light output and appearance.

Designed for maintenance rather than upgrades, the diffuser suits commercial, industrial and residential installations where a bulkhead has been damaged through impact or where the original diffuser has discoloured over time under UV exposure or heat. The polycarbonate construction provides impact resistance similar to the original component, making it appropriate for high-traffic areas, outdoor installations and industrial environments.

The white finish diffuses the LED light evenly across the fitting face, reducing hot-spots and glare compared to a bare LED array. Polycarbonate holds its clarity and colour better than acrylic over extended outdoor use, though all diffusers will gradually yellow under prolonged UV exposure in direct sunlight installations.

Is this compatible with other Knightsbridge bulkheads?

No. This diffuser is sized and shaped specifically for the 24W BF LED bulkhead model. It will not fit other wattages or bulkhead ranges from Knightsbridge.

How is the diffuser fitted?

The diffuser clips onto the bulkhead base. The fitting must be isolated and the existing diffuser removed before the replacement can be clipped into position. No tools are typically required beyond those needed to access the fitting.

Does the diffuser include the bulkhead base?

No. This is the diffuser component only. The base, LED array and driver are sold separately as the complete 24W BF LED bulkhead unit.

Will it yellow over time?

Polycarbonate is more UV-stable than acrylic, but all plastic diffusers will gradually discolour under prolonged outdoor UV exposure or high heat. Indoor installations and shaded outdoor positions slow this process significantly.
