Delya 6 Light Glass & Crystal Beads Chandelier - Chrome

The Delya is a 450mm diameter chandelier built around a smoked glass dome suspended from a polished chrome ceiling plate on three wire cables. Inside the dome hang six strands of faceted crystal beads in a cascading arrangement around six G9 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately). The smoked glass outer shell filters and softens the light from the internal bulbs while allowing the crystal bead structure to remain visible through the tinted glass.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and central living spaces with ceiling heights above 2.6m, the Delya provides both ambient and decorative light. The six G9 bulbs deliver a combined maximum output of 28W per bulb, and the smoked glass prevents direct glare while the crystal beads scatter light into fractured highlights across the dome interior. The wire suspension cables are adjustable on installation to set the drop height appropriate to the table or room below.

The polished chrome canopy and suspension wires give the fitting a cool metallic accent that pairs with contemporary and transitional interiors, while the smoked glass and crystal beads add warmth and texture. At 8kg total weight, the fitting requires a ceiling fixing point rated for chandelier loads, the chrome canopy covers a standard UK ceiling rose and includes cable grip adjustment to control the drop. The 450mm diameter and 250mm dome height suit tables between 1.2m and 1.8m wide, positioned centrally above the dining surface.

What bulbs does the Delya take?

The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs up to 28W each, sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 bulbs between 2.5W and 5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining. Halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible if a brighter output is needed.

Is the drop height adjustable?

Yes. The suspension cables feed through the chrome canopy and can be adjusted on installation using the internal cable grips. This allows the chandelier to be set at the correct height above a dining table or kitchen island depending on ceiling height.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 450mm diameter and 8kg weight suit rooms with ceiling heights above 2.6m. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 700-850mm above the table surface, so a 2.4m ceiling is the practical minimum once the dome height and suspension drop are factored in.

Can the smoked glass dome be cleaned?

Yes. The dome can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water and glass cleaner. The crystal beads inside are best cleaned by removing the dome (after isolating power) and gently wiping each strand with a dry cloth to avoid water marks.
