Delya 5 Light Glass & Crystal Beads Chandelier - Chrome

The Delya is a 40cm diameter chandelier built around a rounded smoked glass dome suspended from a polished chrome canopy, with five internal crystal bead strands hanging inside the glass shell. Each strand is staggered in height and hung from a central chrome hub, creating a cascading effect visible through the translucent smoked glass. Five G9 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) sit within the bead arrangement, casting light through both the crystal and the glass outer shell.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Delya combines ambient and decorative function. The 144cm total drop is fixed, so the chandelier suits rooms where the fitting can hang 700-900mm above a table surface or clear of head height in circulation spaces. The smoked glass diffuses direct glare from the G9 bulbs while the crystal beads scatter and refract the light into points across the room.

The polished chrome frame and canopy provide a clean, reflective contrast to the softer smoked glass and translucent crystal strands. The dome appears to float on thin suspension cables that run from the canopy to the chrome collar at the base of the glass. At 4.8kg, the fitting has substantial presence without requiring ceiling reinforcement beyond a standard UK ceiling rose. The chrome finish pairs with monochrome, grey-toned and minimalist interiors, while the crystal beads add movement and warmth to otherwise flat colour schemes.

What bulbs does the Delya take?

The chandelier takes five G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each (sold separately). Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for softer ambient light. Halogen G9 bulbs give brighter output but higher energy consumption.

Is the drop adjustable?

No. The 144cm total height is fixed and cannot be shortened on installation. Measure your ceiling height before ordering to ensure the chandelier will hang at the correct height above a table or clear of head height in a hallway.

Can the Delya be used with a dimmer?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs you install. Dimmable LED G9 bulbs require a trailing-edge dimmer designed for LED loads. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail on a dimmer circuit.

How is the smoked glass cleaned?

The glass dome can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth and glass cleaner once the power is isolated. The crystal beads inside can be dusted with a dry cloth or gently wiped if marks accumulate, though access requires removing the dome from the chrome collar.
