Description

The Delya is a single-pendant light with a 13cm smoked glass globe suspended on a polished chrome rod from a matching chrome ceiling plate. Inside the globe sits a cluster of faceted crystal-style beads that catch and refract light from a single G9 bulb (sold separately), creating internal depth without adding external bulk.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallway runners and side-of-room task lighting where a smaller pendant is needed, the 13cm diameter keeps the fitting compact while the 134cm drop allows adjustment during installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. Multiple Delya pendants can be spaced 40-60cm apart along an island or counter for even task coverage, or a single fitting works as a solo accent in entrance halls and compact kitchens.

The smoked glass tint softens the light output from the G9 bulb and frames the crystal bead cluster, giving the pendant a layered appearance when lit. The chrome finish on the canopy and rod provides a reflective accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances, polished taps and contemporary fittings. The combined glass, crystal and metal construction gives the pendant a 1kg weight that sits securely on standard UK ceiling roses without additional bracing.

What bulb does it take?

The Delya uses a G9 capsule bulb up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a warm-white LED G9 between 3W and 5W at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting over kitchen surfaces.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The 134cm total height is measured from ceiling to the base of the globe, and the suspension rod can be shortened during installation to suit different ceiling heights. For a kitchen island the pendant typically hangs 70-80cm above the worktop.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

For a standard 1.5-2m island, two Delya pendants spaced 50-60cm apart provide even task coverage. Longer islands of 2.5m or more benefit from three pendants. The 13cm diameter allows closer spacing without visual crowding.

Is the smoked glass dark enough to hide the bulb?

The smoked tint diffuses the light and softens the view of the G9 bulb, but the bulb outline is still visible when lit. The internal crystal bead cluster adds visual interest and breaks up the direct view of the light source.
