Description
The Dauren V1 is a 2-light solid brass wall light with two upward-facing candle-style holders on flowing scroll arms, mounted on a 33cm-high backplate cast with acanthus leaf and floral ornament. Each arm holds a single SES (E14) bulb up to 60W, and the entire frame is finished in polished brass that reflects surrounding light and brings warmth to painted or panelled walls.
Designed for hallways, living rooms and staircases where vertical wall space allows a taller fitting, the Dauren V1 works well flanking mirrors, doorways or large framed artwork, or installed in pairs along a corridor to create rhythm. The 24.5cm width and 13cm projection keep the sconce clear of door swings and passage routes, while the 33cm height gives presence without requiring excessive wall space. The dual-arm format delivers balanced light output upward onto the ceiling and onto the wall immediately behind the fitting.
The solid brass construction gives the sconce a substantial 800g weight that sits securely on the wall bracket once fitted. The polished brass finish catches both natural daylight and electric light, developing a patina over time that can be maintained with brass polish or left to age naturally depending on preference. The ornamental centre casting references late-18th and early-19th century French and English decorative metalwork, making the fitting at home in heritage interiors, Georgian-style properties, and contemporary rooms styled with classical references.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Dauren V1 takes two SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs, up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with candle-style LED bulbs in warm white (2700K) to match the traditional aesthetic.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Dauren V1 carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or other areas where moisture is present.
How is the polished brass maintained?
Polished brass develops a natural patina over time, darkening slightly as it oxidises. To maintain the bright polished finish, clean periodically with a soft cloth and brass polish. To allow the brass to age naturally, simply dust with a dry microfibre cloth.
What wall space is needed?
The sconce measures 33cm high by 24.5cm wide and projects 13cm from the wall. It works best on walls with at least 40cm of clear vertical space and can be positioned at eye level (approximately 1.5-1.7m above floor level) or higher depending on ceiling height and surrounding features.
