Description

The Coral is a 26cm polished chrome wall light built around a rectangular frame filled with vertical chrome rods, spaced evenly to diffuse and refract light from a single E14 bulb fitted behind the rods. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and gives the fitting a high-shine presence against painted walls or tiled surfaces.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and either side of bathroom mirrors where compact wall lighting is needed, the Coral sits 260mm tall and projects approximately 100mm from the wall. The vertical rod construction softens the direct glare from the bulb while allowing enough light to pass through for functional illumination. Used in pairs, the fittings provide symmetry on either side of a headboard, vanity mirror or entrance door.

The rectangular frame holds the vertical rods in a fixed grid, creating a layered depth when viewed from an angle. The 1kg weight gives the fitting a solid wall presence without needing reinforced fixings on plasterboard. The polished chrome pairs cleanly with modern bathroom fittings, brushed nickel door furniture and chrome taps, though the high-shine finish shows fingerprints and requires regular cleaning to maintain reflectivity.

What bulb does it take?

The Coral takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users fit a candle-style LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for warm functional light in hallways and bedrooms.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The fitting carries no stated IP rating in the specification, so it is suitable only for Zone 3 (areas outside shower/bath splash zones) in UK bathrooms, at least 600mm from water sources.

How is the chrome finish maintained?

Polished chrome shows fingerprints and water marks easily. Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner or dedicated chrome polish to restore the high-shine finish. Avoid abrasive cloths that scratch the plating.

Does it need to be fitted in pairs?

No. The Coral works as a single wall light in hallways or beside a bed, but its symmetrical design suits pairs on either side of mirrors, headboards or doorways where balanced lighting is preferred.
