Description

The Brisa is a 48cm teardrop-shaped glass pendant light with a champagne tint, housing four E27 bulbs suspended vertically inside the glass shell on a chrome framework. The champagne tone diffuses warm light through the curved glass, softening the glow from the four bulbs while maintaining visibility of the internal structure. An antique brass canopy and black fabric cable complete the fitting.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Brisa provides both task and ambient light. The 60cm overall drop suits standard ceiling heights when the pendant is positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or table. The four-bulb arrangement inside the glass provides even illumination across the teardrop profile, avoiding harsh shadows or bright spots.

The champagne glass finish pairs with warm-toned interiors including walnut, oak, brushed brass and bronze metalwork. The 6.3kg weight requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or supporting noggin, not just a plasterboard rose. Each of the four bulbs can be up to 40W, giving flexibility to use filament-style LED bulbs for decorative effect or standard frosted LEDs for brighter task lighting.

What bulbs does it take?

The Brisa takes four E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs at 4-6W and 2200K-2700K to complement the champagne glass tone.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 60cm drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above when the pendant is positioned 700-900mm above a kitchen island or dining table. Lower ceilings may feel crowded unless the pendant is used in a double-height space or stairwell.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off the power, allow the bulbs to cool fully, then wipe the champagne glass with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the glass or using chemical sprays that may damage the tint.

Does the pendant require special ceiling support?

Yes. At 6.3kg, the Brisa must be fixed to a ceiling joist or a supporting noggin fitted between joists. Standard plasterboard ceiling roses are not rated for this weight and will not provide safe support.
