Description

The Brisa is a 40cm smoked black glass pendant light housing two E27 bulbs inside a teardrop-shaped shade. The outer glass shell is tinted in a semi-transparent smoke finish, allowing light from the internal bulbs to diffuse through the glass while softening the bulb glare. A polished chrome canopy and single-cable suspension anchors the pendant to the ceiling.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallway entry points, the Brisa works where a single pendant needs to provide both ambient light and a defined visual anchor. The 52cm total drop from ceiling rose to the base of the shade suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights when the pendant is hung 700-800mm above a dining surface or worktop. The two E27 fittings inside can take matching warm-white LEDs or decorative filament bulbs (sold separately), with the smoked glass toning down brighter sources.

The teardrop profile tapers from a 40cm diameter at the widest point to a narrower top opening where the suspension cable enters. This creates a larger glass volume at the base where the bulbs sit, maximising the diffusion area. At 3.75kg the pendant needs secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable anchor, and the glass thickness gives the shade a substantial presence when viewed from below. The smoked finish works in both light-walled and darker interiors, adding tonal depth without blocking too much transmitted light.

The Brisa takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-8W warm-white LED filament bulbs at 2700K for a soft ambient glow through the smoked glass.

Is the smoked glass completely opaque?

No. The smoke finish is semi-transparent, allowing light to diffuse through while toning down the brightness of the bulbs inside. You will see the bulb shapes when the pendant is lit, but the glass softens their glare.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 52cm drop works in rooms with 2.4m ceiling heights or above when the pendant is hung 700-800mm above a dining table or kitchen island. Lower ceilings may require the pendant to be hung higher than ideal or placed in a room where head clearance is not a concern.

Can the Brisa be dimmed?

Yes, if you fit dimmable LED or halogen bulbs and use a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself does not include dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose.
