Description
The Bravia is a 23cm flush ceiling light built around two tiers of vertical-cut lead crystal prisms arranged in concentric circles around a chrome centre plate. The outer ring of rectangular crystal blades stands upright, while the lower tier radiates inward with faceted crystal segments that catch and multiply light from the two SES bulbs inside. The chrome mounting plate sits 13cm from the ceiling, making the Bravia suitable for rooms where pendant drop is not an option.
Designed for hallways, landings, compact bedrooms and bathrooms where ceiling height is limited or where a surface-mounted fitting is preferred over recessed downlights, the Bravia provides ambient light and decorative presence without projecting far into the room. The crystal surround refracts light across walls and ceilings, creating dispersed brightness rather than a single focused beam. The 23cm diameter suits rooms up to approximately 3 x 3m without overwhelming the ceiling plane.
Each crystal element is cut from lead crystal rather than acrylic or glass, giving higher refractive index and sharper rainbow dispersion when the light is on. The chrome finish on the base plate and centre boss is polished rather than brushed, providing a reflective surface that amplifies the crystal sparkle. The combined weight of 4kg requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling beam rather than plasterboard alone.
The Bravia takes two small Edison screw (SES/E14) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W LED candle or golf ball bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to balance light output with the decorative crystal detailing. The fitting is not rated for bathroom zones 1 or 2 unless specified otherwise in the technical data.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Bravia takes two small Edison screw (SES/E14) candle or golf ball bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W LED bulbs in warm white (2700K) for a balanced combination of light output and decorative sparkle.
What ceiling height is needed?
The fitting projects 13cm from the ceiling, so it suits rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights or lower. It is specifically designed as a flush alternative to pendant lights where ceiling clearance is limited.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The Bravia carries no stated IP rating in the specification, so it is not suitable for bathroom zones 1 or 2 (above baths, showers, or within 60cm of a water source). It can be used in well-ventilated bathrooms outside those zones if mounted on a ceiling beam or joist.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off the mains power before cleaning. Wipe each crystal prism with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays or polishes, which leave residue that dulls the crystal's refractive clarity.
