The Baroque is a dining chair with black faux leather upholstery stretched over a contoured backrest and seat, supported by four polished stainless steel legs in a cabriole curve. The upholstery is a composite of 30% PVC, 30% DOP and 40% other fibres, giving a leather-like appearance with a wipe-clean surface that resists moisture and food spills better than fabric.

Designed for formal dining rooms, hospitality settings and commercial contract use, the Baroque pairs with glass, marble and dark wood dining tables where a high-gloss leg finish is wanted. The cabriole legs curve outward at the knee and taper at the ankle, referencing French baroque furniture without direct reproduction. The 103cm back height supports upright dining posture and the 67cm depth keeps the chair from overhanging behind a typical 80-90cm deep dining table.

The polished stainless steel reflects overhead lighting and creates a strong visual contrast against the matt black upholstery. At 8.6kg the chair has enough weight to stay stable on hard floors without scratching when moved, though felt pads are recommended for polished stone or timber. The faux leather surface is dry-clean only — wiping with a damp cloth removes surface marks but soaking or steam cleaning can delaminate the composite layers.

The Baroque is supplied flat-packed with leg assembly required on delivery. The seat frame and upholstery arrive pre-assembled; the legs bolt onto the underside using the fixings provided. Assembly takes approximately 15 minutes per chair with a basic toolkit.
