Description

The Azure is a 480mm drum pendant light built from a double-ring polished chrome frame with suspended layers of faceted acrylic crystal drops forming a cylindrical shade around six E14 bulb fittings. The drops are arranged in overlapping rows that fill the drum volume, so when the bulbs are lit the facets refract and multiply the light source across the room.

Designed for dining tables in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings, the Azure also suits living rooms, kitchen islands and entrance halls where a decorative pendant is needed without the scale or visual weight of a full chandelier. The 425mm drop from canopy to the base of the drum is adjustable on the chrome chain during installation, allowing the pendant to sit 700-800mm above a dining surface. The six E14 bulbs (sold separately) provide enough output for ambient lighting in a 12-15m² room when paired with warm-white LED bulbs at 6-8W each.

The polished chrome finish gives high reflectivity, bouncing additional light off the metal frame and amplifying the sparkle from the crystal drops. The drum form keeps the 9.4kg weight distributed evenly around the circumference, so the pendant hangs level from the chain without needing additional suspension points. The open top and bottom of the drum allow airflow around the bulbs and prevent heat buildup, making the fitting compatible with standard dimmable LED bulbs on most UK trailing-edge dimmers.

What bulbs does the Azure take?

The fitting takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 6-8W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living room ambient light.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 425mm pendant height plus the adjustable chain drop means the Azure works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceiling rooms the pendant may hang too close to head height when suspended at typical dining table clearance (700-800mm above the surface).

Is the Azure dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs used. The fitting itself is passive and compatible with dimmable E14 LED bulbs on most UK trailing-edge dimmers. Confirm bulb and dimmer compatibility before purchase if dimming is required.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The acrylic drops can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the bulbs are switched off and cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the drops or using household sprays that may leave residue on the facets.
