The AV:Link SH40VC is a closed-back stereo headphone with 40mm drivers, in-line volume control and a 2.7m cable terminating in a 3.5mm stereo jack. The headphones cover a 20Hz-20kHz frequency response at 32 ohms impedance, making them compatible with smartphones, laptops, audio interfaces, mixers and DJ equipment without requiring a dedicated headphone amplifier.

Designed for home listening, practice sessions and monitoring, the padded ear cups sit on-ear rather than over-ear, providing passive noise reduction without full isolation. The adjustable headband accommodates different head sizes and the padded surfaces are wipeable, which is useful for shared or studio environments where hygiene matters. The in-line volume control sits approximately 400mm from the left ear cup, allowing quick level adjustment without reaching for the source device.

The 2.7m cable length allows movement around a desk, DJ booth or home studio without unplugging, and the supplied gold-plated 6.3mm adapter converts the 3.5mm jack for use with professional audio gear, studio mixers and older hi-fi equipment. The silver finish on the headband and ear cup housings pairs with both modern and retro audio setups.
