Description

The Knightsbridge SN8220 is a white BC (B22d bayonet cap) batten holder with an angled short skirt design in thermoset resin. The angled head allows a bayonet bulb to be directed at an angle from the ceiling mounting plate, useful for directing light onto a wall, down a corridor, or onto a specific surface rather than straight down. The fitting is rated for bulbs up to 100W incandescent or 8W LED.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in utility rooms, workshops, garages, store cupboards and commercial spaces where functional lighting is needed without decorative fittings. The short skirt design keeps the ceiling plate compact at 75mm diameter with a 70mm projection from the mounting surface once a bulb is fitted. The angled head mechanism allows rotation of the lamp direction once installed, giving flexibility to adjust the light throw after wiring.

The thermoset resin construction provides heat resistance and dimensional stability under sustained bulb heat, rated as Class II (double insulated) and IP20 for indoor dry locations. The three-terminal connection accepts cables up to 2 x 1.5mm² and the fitting is certified to BS EN 61184 and EN 62471. Knightsbridge backs the SN8220 with a 25-year warranty.
