Description

The Allara is a 35cm crystal table lamp built around a polished chrome stem and circular base, topped with a 15cm-diameter cylindrical shade formed from cascading cut crystal prisms. A single E14 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the crystal drum, refracting light through the faceted prisms to scatter points of light across nearby surfaces.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and dressing tables where decorative accent lighting is needed without floor space, the Allara's compact 15cm footprint fits narrow surfaces between 25-40cm deep. The crystal prisms hang in vertical rows from a chrome ring frame, creating layered texture while maintaining a clean cylindrical outline that doesn't visually dominate a small table. The chrome finish pairs with contemporary and transitional interiors where polished metal accents are already present in mirrors, drawer handles or light switch plates.

At 2.1kg the lamp has enough weight to sit stable on most surfaces without needing to be anchored, but remains light enough to be moved between rooms as required. The crystal prisms are cut glass rather than acrylic, so they refract light with sharper definition and hold their clarity over time. How is the crystal shade cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool fully before cleaning. Remove individual crystal prisms by gently unhooking them from the chrome frame, wipe with a microfibre cloth dampened with distilled water and mild washing-up liquid, rinse with clean distilled water, dry immediately with a lint-free cloth, then rehook onto the frame.

What table depth is needed?

The lamp's 15cm-diameter base requires a minimum table depth of 20cm for safe placement, though 25-40cm gives better visual proportion. The 35cm height suits standard bedside tables and console tables between 55-75cm high.
