Description

The Alissa is a 35cm K9 crystal pendant light built around a chrome frame supporting multiple tiers of precision-cut crystal droplets arranged in a dome profile. Three SES bulb fittings sit inside the crystal arrangement, each rated for up to 40W. The chrome canopy and chain suspension system allow the pendant to be hung at a height that suits the ceiling and room proportion.

Designed for dining tables, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m, the Alissa works where a full-scale chandelier would overpower the space. The 30cm drop from canopy to base keeps the pendant compact, while the tightly packed crystal droplets amplify light reflection from the three bulbs inside. The chrome finish on the frame and chain pairs with polished nickel, mirror and glass surfaces in contemporary and transitional interiors.

Each crystal droplet is cut from K9 glass, a lead-free crystal alternative that refracts light into spectral colours when the bulbs are lit. The layered dome arrangement positions larger droplets at the base and smaller pieces toward the top, creating density without obscuring the bulbs entirely. The combined weight of the chrome frame and crystal droplets gives the fitting a 6kg mass, requiring secure ceiling rose attachment and appropriate chain support during installation.

What bulbs does the Alissa take?

The pendant uses three SES (Small Edison Screw, E14 base) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the crystal refraction.

Is the chain length adjustable?

Yes. The chain can be shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height. For a dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceilings of 2.4m or higher.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or getting moisture into the bulb fittings.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 30cm pendant height plus chain makes the Alissa well-suited to standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m-2.8m. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the fitting if the chain is shortened and the pendant is positioned away from head-height traffic routes.
