Description
The Alfaisis is a 50cm LED landscape bar light housing twelve 18W 4000K LEDs behind frosted lenses in a grey powder-coated aluminium body. Two adjustable mounting brackets at each end allow the bar to be fixed to walls, facades, or ground-level plinths, with the tilt mechanism letting you angle the beam upward, downward, or along a horizontal plane depending on the installation position.
Designed for architectural lighting of building facades, low garden walls, pathway edges and feature planting, the Alfaisis delivers neutral white light across a 50cm spread without the hard edges and hotspotting typical of shorter spotlights. The IP65 rating seals the housing against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the UK climate. The grey finish recedes into stone, render and metal surfaces during daylight and disappears entirely at night when only the light output is visible.
The integrated LED delivers 18W output at 4000K, which sits between warm white (3000K) and cool white (5000K-6000K) and is often preferred for functional outdoor lighting where colour rendering matters — rendering foliage, stone and timber more accurately than cooler LEDs. The twelve lenses distribute light evenly along the 50cm length, avoiding the single bright point of a conventional spotlight. The mounting brackets are pre-drilled for M6 fixings and the bar can be installed in minutes onto brick, blockwork, timber or steel substrates.

Frequently Asked
Can the Alfaisis be installed on the ground or only on walls?
The tiltable mounting brackets allow installation on both vertical surfaces (walls, facades) and horizontal surfaces (ground plinths, low walls). When ground-mounted, the bar can be angled upward to wash a wall or facade. When wall-mounted, it can be angled downward for path or planting illumination.
What does the IP65 rating mean in practice?
IP65 means the fitting is sealed against dust ingress (IP6X) and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction (IPX5). It will withstand rain, hose-down cleaning and exposure to garden irrigation, but should not be submerged or subjected to high-pressure jet washing.
Is the LED replaceable if it fails?
No. The LED is integrated into the housing and is not user-replaceable. The unit carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covering LED failure within that period.
What colour is 4000K neutral white compared to warmer LEDs?
4000K sits between warm white (2700K-3000K, which has a yellow cast) and cool white (5000K+, which has a blue cast). It renders colours more accurately than warmer LEDs and is less harsh than cooler LEDs, making it a common choice for architectural and landscape lighting where you want to see the true colour of stone, foliage and timber at night.
