Description

The Knightsbridge FP5APB is a 5A unswitched round pin socket in polished brass with a black insert, designed for BS 546 3-pin round plug connections commonly used in custom lighting circuits. The socket has no on/off switch — power is controlled at the circuit breaker or via a separate switched fused connection unit — making it suited to always-on or centrally-controlled lighting installations.

The ultra-flat plate design projects just 2.5mm from the wall, with a built-in gasket that seals against the mounting box to keep dust and debris out of the back box. This low-profile construction suits period properties, heritage restorations and modern interiors where minimal wall projection is required. The 87.5mm square faceplate fits standard 25mm minimum back boxes and the premium-grade steel construction gives a solid mechanical feel to the plug connection.

The polished brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs well with traditional and classical interior schemes, whilst the black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and defines the socket apertures.
