Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP cooker control unit combines a double-pole 45A isolation switch for hard-wired cooking appliances with a 13A switched socket and two USB-A charging ports (5V DC 2.4A combined output) behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with white insert. The 45A switch carries neon indicators to show live status, allowing safe isolation of the cooker circuit for maintenance or emergency shutoff.

Designed for kitchen installation near cooker hoods or on worktop plinths, the unit provides isolation control for electric cookers, ovens and hobs rated up to 10,440W at 230V, while the 13A socket handles auxiliary appliances (kettles, toasters, slow cookers) and the dual USB ports charge phones and tablets without occupying the 13A outlet. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the cooker switch is off, meeting UK wiring regulations for fixed cooking appliance isolation.

The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, hiding all fixings behind the brushed chrome face. The white insert behind the outlets provides contrast for the apertures and conceals the back of the metal plate. The unit requires a 47mm minimum back box depth and sits 4.3mm proud of the wall once fitted. The premium-grade steel construction carries IP20 rating for dry indoor use and is certified to BS 4177, BS 1363-2 and EN 62368-1.
