Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP cooker switch combines a double-pole 45A cooker isolator, a 13A switched socket outlet, and dual USB-A charging ports (5V DC 2.4A total output) behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the cooker circuit is switched off, providing safe isolation for maintenance or cleaning of hardwired cooking appliances.

Designed for kitchen installation where a cooker or range is hardwired into a dedicated 45A circuit, this unit adds a convenient 13A socket and USB charging within the same wall space. The 13A socket is independently switched and rated for standard appliance loads up to 3,120W, while the dual USB-A ports allow phone and tablet charging without occupying the 13A outlet. The red 'COOKER' rocker switch includes a neon indicator visible when the cooker circuit is live.

The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The brushed chrome finish provides a contemporary metallic accent that pairs well with stainless steel appliances and modern kitchen hardware. The black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and defines the edges of each outlet aperture. The unit requires a 47mm minimum back box depth and is certified to BS 4177, BS 1363-2 and EN 62368-1.
