Description

This Knightsbridge 20AX 1-gang DP toggle switch is a grid-compatible module designed to fit into Knightsbridge modular grid frames. The switch features a brushed brass faceplate with a traditional toggle dolly, offering double-pole switching that isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off. The 20AX rating handles circuits up to 4,600W on 230V mains, making it suitable for lighting circuits and low-to-moderate appliance loads.

The module is front-mounted, meaning it clips into the grid frame from the front rather than requiring rear access during installation. This simplifies fitting and allows the switch to be installed or replaced without removing the grid frame from the wall. The toggle mechanism provides tactile feedback and a defined on/off position, suited to traditional, classical and period-style interiors where modern rocker switches would look out of place.

The brushed brass finish shows a warm metallic tone with a directional grain that softens reflections and pairs well with other brass or gold-tone fixtures. A grid module is a single switch, socket or dimmer component designed to fit into a modular grid frame. Knightsbridge grid frames are sold separately and can hold multiple modules in configurations from 1-gang to 4-gang. This toggle switch clips into the frame from the front once the frame is mounted to a standard back box.

What does 20AX mean?
