Description
The Knightsbridge CL91PCW is a 13A 1-gang single-pole switched socket with two USB-A charging ports rated at 5V DC 2.1A shared output. The polished chrome faceplate has a rounded edge and a white insert behind the socket aperture and rocker switch. The USB ports sit above the main outlet, allowing two devices to charge from mains power without occupying the 13A socket below.
Designed for bedrooms, home offices, kitchens and lounge areas where phones, tablets and other USB-charged devices need regular mains-fed charging alongside standard appliance plugs. The single-gang footprint replaces a standard 1-gang socket on existing back boxes with 25-35mm depth depending on cable termination space. The rounded-edge plate sits flush against the wall with a 12.7mm projection from the mounting surface.
The polished chrome finish is applied to 304 stainless steel, giving a high-reflectivity surface that pairs with chrome taps, door furniture and lighting fixtures in kitchens and bathrooms. The white insert provides contrast behind the outlet and switch, defining each aperture clearly. The plate includes a built-in rear gasket that seals against the wall surface, reducing dust ingress around the edge. BS1363-2 certified for UK socket standards, EMC compliant, and ErP Ready for energy-related product regulations.

Frequently Asked
What back box depth is required?
The socket requires a minimum 25mm back box depth when cables are neatly terminated with minimal projection. If cables have bulkier terminations or insulation, a 35mm box may be needed to ensure the faceplate sits flush.
What is the USB charging output?
The dual USB-A ports provide 5V DC at 2.1A shared output. When charging two devices simultaneously, the 2.1A total is split between them. Single-device charging delivers the full 2.1A to that device.
Is this single-pole or double-pole switching?
This is single-pole (SP) switching, which isolates the live conductor only when the switch is off. The neutral remains connected. For applications requiring full isolation of both live and neutral, see the DP (double-pole) variant in this range.
What other finishes are available in this range?
Knightsbridge produces this 1-gang USB socket style in polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass, matt black and white. Use the search function or filters to find other finishes in stock at Niori.
