Description

The Panasonic Eneloop Pro BQ-CC55 is a smart battery charger supplied with four pre-charged 2500mAh AA rechargeable NiMH batteries. The charger monitors each cell individually through built-in voltage and temperature sensors, automatically adjusting charging current to prevent overheating and maintain cell health. Four LED indicators show charging progress for each battery position independently.

Designed for high-drain devices such as DSLR cameras, flash units, gaming controllers and wireless microphones, the 2500mAh Eneloop Pro cells deliver 28% higher capacity than standard Eneloop AA batteries. The charger accepts both AA and AAA NiMH cells in any combination across its four slots, completing a full charge of two AA cells in approximately 2 hours or four AA cells in 4 hours. The 100-240V input allows use in any country with the appropriate plug adapter.

Eneloop Pro batteries retain 85% of their stored charge after 12 months of shelf storage at room temperature, reducing waste from self-discharge between uses. The cells are rated for up to 500 charge cycles before capacity begins to degrade noticeably. The charger automatically switches to trickle charge once cells reach full capacity, preventing overcharge damage during extended connection to mains power.

Can the charger accept AAA batteries as well as AA?

Yes. The BQ-CC55 charges both AA and AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries in any combination across the four slots. Each slot is independently monitored, so you can charge different cell sizes simultaneously.

How many charge cycles do Eneloop Pro batteries last?

Eneloop Pro cells are rated for up to 500 full charge-discharge cycles before capacity begins to degrade noticeably. Actual cycle life depends on usage patterns, charging conditions and storage temperature.

Does the charger work with non-Panasonic NiMH batteries?

The BQ-CC55 is designed specifically for NiMH chemistry and will charge any standard NiMH AA or AAA cells from other manufacturers. It is not compatible with alkaline, lithium-ion or NiCd batteries.

How long does it take to charge four depleted AA batteries?

Four fully depleted 2500mAh Eneloop Pro AA cells take approximately 4 hours to reach full charge. Charging time reduces to around 2 hours when charging only one or two cells, as the charger can allocate more current per slot.
