Morvane Sculpted Dome Table Lamp - Black Marble & White

The Morvane is a 450mm sculpted dome table lamp built around a wide white shade, a brushed brass spherical collar and a cylindrical base carved from black marble. The shade measures 300mm across at its widest point and clips to the brass collar through small brass tabs at its lower edge. A single E27 lamp socket sits inside the dome, casting warm light downward through the shade and onto the surface below.

Designed as a bedside, console or sideboard lamp, the Morvane suits living rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls where a piece of decorative table lighting is needed alongside ambient ceiling light. The 300mm shade diameter throws a defined pool of light across a 600-700mm radius, making it useful next to a sofa for evening reading or on a bedside table for low-level light before sleep. The E27 fitting accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).

The black marble base gives the lamp a grounded 450mm-tall silhouette with natural veining and tonal variation visible across the cylinder. Each base is cut from real stone, so the pattern of veining differs between individual pieces. The brushed brass sphere between the shade and base softens the transition between the dome and cylinder, picking up a warm metallic note that pairs the white shade and dark stone together. The shade itself has a matt finish that diffuses light evenly without hot spots.

What bulb does the Morvane take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K works well for bedside or sofa-side use, giving comfortable ambient light without overpowering the diffused shade.

Is the marble base real stone?

Yes. The cylindrical base is cut from natural black marble with visible veining and tonal variation across the surface. Each base differs slightly in pattern, as the veining depends on the section of stone it was cut from.

How is the lamp switched?

The Morvane uses an inline cable switch on the flex, which is standard for table lamps of this type. There is no switch on the body of the lamp itself, keeping the marble and brass forms uninterrupted.

How is the shade and base cleaned?

Wipe the shade with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. The marble base should be cleaned with a barely-damp cloth using distilled water only — avoid household sprays, polishes or acidic cleaners, which can etch natural stone.
