Description

The MagDuo 4-zone conventional expansion card adds four 2-wire zones for conventional fire detectors and manual call points to an existing ESP MagDuo4 or MagDuo4B fire alarm control panel. The card plugs directly into the expansion slot on the host panel PCB, extending the system from 4 to 8 addressable zones without requiring additional external cabling or power supplies.

Designed for small commercial installations where the initial 4 zones of the MagDuo4 panel need to be expanded to cover additional floors, zones or building sections, the card supports standard 2-wire detector loops using conventional smoke, heat and multi-sensor detectors alongside break-glass manual call points. Each of the four zones on the expansion card operates independently, allowing separate zone labelling and control for different areas of the building.

The PCB measures 120mm x 120mm x 70mm and weighs 150g, fitting inside the standard MagDuo4 control panel enclosure without requiring a larger cabinet. The card uses the host panel's power supply and communication bus, so installation involves plugging the card into the expansion header and connecting the four new zone terminals to the detector loops. Configuration is handled through the MagDuo4 panel interface once the card is detected on power-up.
