The LYYT 100W power supply delivers a constant 24V DC output at up to 4.17A, housed in an IP67-rated aluminium case measuring 200 x 40 x 20mm. It converts mains voltage (170-250V AC, 50/60Hz) to regulated 24V DC for LED tape, strip lighting and other low-voltage installations requiring protection from dust and water ingress.

Designed for outdoor architectural lighting, garden features, commercial signage and wet-location interior applications where standard PSUs cannot operate safely, the IP67 casing seals the unit against submersion up to 1m depth for short periods. The single output feed supports loop-through wiring, allowing multiple LED runs to be connected in parallel provided the combined load remains within the 100W maximum. What does IP67 mean for outdoor use?

IP67 provides complete protection against dust ingress and temporary submersion in water up to 1m depth. For outdoor installations the PSU should still be mounted under eaves, in enclosures or where standing water cannot accumulate, as IP67 is rated for temporary submersion rather than continuous immersion.

How much LED tape can this power?

The 100W output supports up to 100W of connected LED load at 24V DC. For typical 24V LED tape rated at 9.6W per metre, this PSU can power approximately 10 metres of tape. Check your specific tape's wattage per metre before calculating the maximum run length.

Can multiple LED runs be connected to the single output?

Yes. The single output feed supports loop-through wiring, allowing multiple LED runs to be connected in parallel provided the total combined wattage remains under 100W. Wiring should be done in accordance with BS 7671 regulations.

Does short circuit protection reset automatically?

Yes. The short circuit protection automatically shuts down the output when a fault is detected. Once the fault is cleared, the PSU will typically reset on the next power cycle, though persistent faults require investigation before reconnection.
