LYYT Box Profile Mounting Clips - Pack of 10

The LYYT box profile mounting clips are spring-steel fixings sold in packs of 10, designed to secure LYYT aluminium box profile LED strip housings to walls, ceilings and other flat surfaces. Each clip uses a spring-tension design that grips the outer edges of the box profile channel and holds it against the mounting surface once fixed with a screw or wall plug through the central aperture.

These clips suit installations where the LED strip profile needs to be surface-mounted rather than recessed, including under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, display case accent lighting, workshop task lighting and retail shelf illumination. The clips space at 300-500mm intervals along the profile run depending on the weight and rigidity of the specific box profile being installed. They work with LYYT box profile channels in 1m and 2m lengths.

The clips are stamped from galvanised steel with a bright zinc finish that resists corrosion in dry indoor environments. Each clip measures approximately 25mm wide and uses a single screw fixing through the central hole. The spring arms flex outward to clip over the profile edges, then hold the profile flush to the wall or ceiling without needing adhesive. Removing the profile for maintenance or redecorating is a matter of unclipping rather than prying off glued-down channel.

What profile types do these clips fit?

How many clips are needed per metre of profile?

A typical installation uses 2-3 clips per metre of profile. For 1m lengths, clips at each end plus one in the centre provide adequate support. For 2m lengths, clips at 500mm intervals (five clips total) prevent sagging on horizontal runs.

Can they be used on ceilings?

Yes. The clips work on both wall and ceiling installations. For ceiling mounting, ensure the fixing screw goes into a solid substrate (joist, batten or ceiling board capable of taking the weight) rather than into plasterboard alone.

Are they reusable?

The spring-steel clips can be unclipped and re-clipped multiple times without losing tension, making them reusable across different installations or when repositioning a profile run.
