Description

The LYYT 10 Clips Wide Crown Profile is a 10-piece mounting clip set for fixing wide crown aluminium LED strip profiles to ceilings, walls, plinths and other surfaces. Each clip is stamped from spring steel and features two fixing apertures and a U-shaped channel that grips the back of the aluminium profile once the clip is screwed or riveted to the mounting surface.

Used in architectural lighting installations, retail fit-outs, kitchen plinths, under-cabinet lighting and cove lighting where wide crown profiles house LED strip tape, the clips provide a concealed fixing method that allows the profile to be removed and refitted without disturbing the mounting points. The spring tension in the steel holds the profile securely while still allowing lateral adjustment during installation to align multiple profile runs.

The clips are supplied as a set of 10, sufficient for approximately 2-3 metres of continuous profile run depending on the load and orientation (ceiling, wall or plinth). For ceiling installations the clips should be spaced at 300-400mm intervals; for vertical wall runs 400-500mm spacing is typical. The fixing apertures accept M3 or M4 screws, wood screws or pop rivets depending on the substrate material.

These clips are designed specifically for LYYT wide crown aluminium LED strip profiles. They will not fit narrow crown, surface-mount or recessed profiles without modification.

How many clips are needed per metre of profile?

For ceiling installations, space clips at 300-400mm intervals (approximately 3-4 clips per metre). For vertical wall runs, 400-500mm spacing is acceptable (approximately 2-3 clips per metre). Heavier profiles or those subjected to vibration may require closer spacing.

Can the profile be removed once the clips are fixed?

Yes. The clips remain fixed to the mounting surface, and the aluminium profile slides into and out of the U-channel on each clip. This allows the profile to be removed for maintenance or redecoration without disturbing the fixings.
