Description

The Kichler Lyndon is a 288mm-high outdoor wall lantern with a tapered clear seedy glass shade suspended from a curved arm and circular backplate, both finished in architectural bronze. The lantern houses a single E27 bulb fitting rated to 60W (bulb sold separately), with the seedy glass providing diffusion while showing the bulb filament when lit.

Designed for front porches, garage side walls, patio entrances and alleyways where a compact downward-facing light is needed, the Lyndon sits at eye level or just above to illuminate doorsteps and pathways without overwhelming smaller facades. The 191mm projection from the wall keeps the glass shade clear of the building surface, and the 128mm width fits comfortably on standard door frames and exterior panels. The IP44 rating protects against rain spray from all directions, making it suitable for covered and semi-exposed positions.

The architectural bronze finish is a mid-tone brown-grey metal with a low-sheen protective coating, resistant to fading and corrosion in outdoor conditions. The clear seedy glass carries tiny air bubbles throughout the material, creating texture that softens light output and reduces glare compared to plain clear glass. When paired with a warm-white LED filament bulb (2700K recommended), the seedy glass casts a soft amber glow onto the wall and surrounding ground.

The lantern mounts to a standard UK outdoor electrical box via the circular backplate, with cable entry through the back.
