Description

The Knightsbridge FLPA200 is a 200W LED floodlight delivering 19,655 lumens of 4000K cool white light through a die-cast aluminium housing with an IP65 rating. The integrated SMD LED array sits behind a clear diffuser and a high-output reflector, casting a 105° beam angle suitable for wide-area coverage on building facades, car parks, sports courts and commercial yard lighting.

Designed for external security and functional lighting in commercial, retail and domestic environments, the floodlight mounts via a rear bracket that tilts to direct the beam downward or at an angle. The internal terminal block on the rear housing allows for direct mains wiring without needing an external junction box, and the fitting is compatible with LED-compatible external PIR sensors for automated switching. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for year-round outdoor exposure in UK weather conditions.

The anthracite powder-coated finish on the die-cast aluminium housing resists corrosion and UV fade better than painted steel alternatives. At 360mm wide and 237mm tall, the floodlight provides substantial light output without the bulk of higher-wattage metal halide or halogen equivalents it typically replaces. The 97.56 lm/W efficacy and L70B50 rating of 54,000 hours mean the LEDs will maintain at least 70% of their initial output for approximately six years of continuous operation, reducing maintenance intervals compared to traditional discharge lamps.

Can this be used with a PIR motion sensor?

Yes. The floodlight is compatible with LED-compatible external PIR sensors. The internal terminal block on the rear allows for sensor wiring to be connected in series with the mains supply, so the floodlight switches on when motion is detected.

What does the IP65 rating mean?

IP65 means the floodlight is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It can be mounted externally in UK weather conditions year-round, including rain, but is not submersible.

How long will the LEDs last?

The L70B50 rating of 54,000 hours means that after 54,000 hours of operation, at least 70% of the LEDs will still produce at least 70% of their initial light output. At 12 hours per night, this equates to approximately 12 years before noticeable degradation.

What mounting surface is required?

The rear bracket mounts to brick, block, render or timber surfaces using suitable fixings (not supplied). The bracket allows the floodlight to be angled downward or tilted to direct the beam as needed. The internal terminal block requires cable entry from behind, so a weatherproof cable gland or conduit entry is recommended.
